Travelled to Ibiza for my first time clubbing there, part of a birthday year adventure. Admittedly it was a budget trip as I’d splurged all my cash on a trip to Colombia a few months earlier. Anyway, we were only stopping for the weekend. The room was pleasant, basic and tidy. We got in late and had to get ready straight away to go and party. After showering and wrapping myself in it - I noticed my towel smelt of someone else’s ass. As you can imagine, it was pretty vile. Note to self - start travelling with your own towel again. Secondly, the air con did not work. We reported it but nothing was done. It made putting on your make-up like an extreme sport. We were down for half-board but as you can imagine we never made it to breakfast and the one time we had dinner, we had to pay for our drinks which we thought was a bit tight. And the food was not great. Which was great for my waistline. My travel partner liked their calamari - but I didn’t. Staff were pleasant and helpful. And the hotel was 10-15 minutes away from the strip, we were happy to walk it and found it safe. Checkout was very early in comparison to our departure flight but there was a shower and room to change in - with no aircon. Adequate for a no-frills fly and flop trip, well out of the party zone.…
