Method 1 and Method 2 did not work.

I didn't get to try method 3 as I fixed the problem by un-installing and reinstalling the apps.

Click on the app when the arrow appears on the tile. This will start to download the app and reinstall it. You'll see a progress bar at the bottom of the live tile.
